Our Goals

Long-term partnership and engagement

Our partnership is built on a mutual understanding towards our long-term goal to establish an alliance that engages in a joint transformational and transnational mission.

Academic Continuing Education Role Model

Universities of the future can no longer operate based on the organisational models of the past. Together, we develop strategies and structures to further enhance our scientific, pedagogical, and societal impact. We strongly believe in joining our universities, which are different (notably in size) and yet characterized by strong common specificities, including a vigorous link between professors and the professional sector: companies, professional organizations. EU.ACE acts as a laboratory where new continuing education models of teaching and learning are designed and tested. It shares its experience and added value of its model with other European countries and at the global level.

Continuous transformation of higher education

EU.ACE is transforming our universities into multi-varsities that embrace multi-disciplinarity, multi-lingualism and multi-stakeholder involvement while keeping academic freedom and democratic values as enablers to fulfil our joint missions and to create a European University for Academic Continuing Education. In this environment, challenge-driven universities with a core vision of innovative research-based teaching methodologies and inclusive lifelong learning education work together to co-create an alliance with strong links to our local economic, social and geographical environments and an orientation toward global challenges.
